Editor's note
One of the main subjects of this issue can be determined as prospects of Russia as a secular state. The recent months’ events connected with the handing-over procedure of monuments of religious destination to the Russian Orthodox Church are so intensive and ambiguous that we have tried to make a ground where parts could express their opinion and, perhaps, hear another position (different from theirs) in questions of interrelation of society, culture and religion. The subject is important and sore not only for power institutions and church, not only for professional cultural community but also for all citizens of Russia. Not everybody, whom the editors addressed to, considers it possible to speak of the subject. Nevertheless, I hope the gathered material shows objective picture and its fundamental importance. Out of this everybody can draw conclusions.
Read about the youth project connected with development of classical performing art, something that expects the army of e-library users in the future, about competitions and good signs in the world of Russian culture in this issue as well.
Do you remember the Liberal Education School about which we wrote a year ago? The school has grown into the Open Corporative University and seriously tries itself in the space of the whole Russian education. You can read about this in the Education column. The Honest Work, one of the last articles of the gone editor-in-chief of the methodological literary miscellany “Centaur” Gennady Kopylov is also published here.
